1/4/2024 0 Comments 2019 radnor township ballot![]() ![]() League members emphasized that it is critical not only to be non-partisan, but also to make sure applications are not tossed out because of common errors. To accommodate busy schedules, sessions were held before and after school on campus along with two Sunday afternoons at the Radnor Memorial Library. Service credit was provided for involved students by the National Honor Society. After receiving training from the LWVEF, members Anne Albright, Roberta Winters, and Michele Hunn orchestrated efforts to assist others in voter registration. Teachers and fellow students have been shown to be most effective in motivating young voters.īased on long-standing voter registration efforts at Radnor High School, the League delegated many of the outreach efforts to students with junior Kyle Itner coordinating. Using personal and on-line contacts, League members worked to provide resource materials to teachers who could, in turn, encourage students to register to vote, learn about the upcoming election, and even complete absentee ballot applications. ![]() Barrack Hebrew Academy, Hilltop Preparatory School, and Sacred Heart Academy. Such an outreach would have been impossible without the cooperation of school administrators and teachers from the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur, the Agnes Irwin School, Archbishop John Carroll High School, Jack M. Many completed on-line applications at while others filled out paper forms some of which were hand-delivered by members of the League to the Delaware County Voter Registration Office in Media. Thanks to the support of the League of Women Voters Education Fund (LWVEF), nearly one thousand graduating high-school seniors from public, private, and parochial schools in Radnor Township had the opportunity to learn about voter registration. ![]()
